For pictures of how the tables were set up last night, please check out my blog post:

http://www.theroadtovalhalla.blogspot.com

I'll post up links to more blog posts as I get pictures taken, but I'll post up results here, as well.

EDIT: Had to fix the link. Please scroll down on the blog page to see all the posts from today's event. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused; I'm still new to this whole blogging thingy...

Hey, Folks.

OK, Round One is over, and Round Two just started. Here's the standings after 1 Round:

TP - Army -- Player
18 - Shaltari - James P.
17 - PHR ----- Jacob D.
13 - Shaltari - James W.
12 - Shaltari - Andrew F.
8 -- Resistance - Jon H.
7 -- Scourge -- Sam M.
3 -- PHR ----- Garrette H.
2 -- Shaltari - Jake H

I've posted pictures from Round One on my blog, and here's the link:

http://www.theroadtovalhalla.blogspot.com

Also, we had a bit of drama come up early in Round 2: One of the players' mother was in a car accident, and he had to leave early to go help her out. Click on the link above for the full story, plus a bunch of pictures of Round 1!

OK, Round 2 is over (half an hour early!) and everyone is at dinner. (Except me.) It's pretty close near the top, but anything can happen. Here are the current standings:

TP..KP....Army......Player
31 - 1223 - Shaltari - James P.
30 - 1754 - PHR ----- Jacob D.
30 - 1133 - Shaltari - James W.
28 - 937 -- Shaltari - Andrew F.
21 - 1055 - Shaltari - Jake H.
17 - 863 -- Resistance - Jon H.
15 - 1087 - Scourge - Sam M.
10 - 517 -- PHR ------ Dylan G. (filling in for Garette H.)

So, not surprisingly, there's a lot of Shaltari at the top, but then again, half the field is Shaltari, so it's somewhat to be expected. ;) Also, Dylan has never played PHR before, and has only played DzC a few times, so that's going to skew his results (plus, it's not his army list, in addition to not being his army).

Since some players have already played who they would naturally be paired up against if I just paired the top 2, then the next 2, etc., and I believe that in a 3 game tournament no one should have to play the same person twice, I "skipped" the player currently in second so that he will play the person currently in fourth, so therefore the person currently in first is now playing the person who is currently in 3rd going into this last round. And finally, I broke up a father/son pairing, because I know from personal experience that when you play your father (or your son) most of the time (which these guys do), it really sucks to get paired up against each other in a tournament; and, it really doesn't make all that much difference in the pairings, I think.

So, here are the pairings of the final Round, Round 3 (and this round I skipped Table 1, so no one is on that table):
    Tbl..Army.....Player
    2 -- PHR ------ Jacob D.
    2 -- Shaltari -- Andrew F.
    3 -- Resistance - Jon H.
    3 -- PHR ------ Dylan G.
    4 -- Shaltari -- James P.
    4 -- Shaltari -- James W.
    5 -- Shaltari -- Jake H.
    5 -- Scourge -- Sam M.
Also, I just realized that I haven't let you know which scenarios were played in which Rounds, so here you go:
Round 1 - Targets of Opportunity
Round 2 - Secure the Flanks
Round 3 - Ground Control (modified)
I'm using a modified scoring system for Ground Control, which I explain in a post further up on this topic.

Round 3 is underway!

Thanks for letting me know. I'll fix that...

Also, final standings on the way... We finished over an hour ago, but I've had to break down the tables and finish cleaning up. I'll write up a summary as soon as I get the blog to play nice....
